Frank Prisinzano, the mastermind behind Frank and Lil' Frankies, dominates the Italian cuisine scene in the East Village. His upscale Italian spot, Supper, has been bustling since its inception. Despite the no-reservation policy, patrons can enjoy a drink at the adjacent wine bar while they wait. Both the restaurant and wine bar operate on a cash-only basis, and while the wine list leans towards the pricier side, the food menu offers a variety of well-executed, moderately priced Italian favorites and ever-changing specials that keep guests coming back. Outdoor seating is pleasant, but the true charm lies in the cozy, dimly lit interior, especially on a chilly night when the central oven warms the room.
